Taj Mahal - Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his second wife who died[...]
Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his second wife who died at giving birth. The construction started in 1631, the same year that she died, and completed in 1653. Specialists from many parts of the world, Europe amongst others, were hired to do different kinds of stone art/work.
