(travel diary) Visiting Malbork

Category: Poland, 2007
After the late night at the Heineken Open'er festival I decided to sleep in a single person room. Sleep is good :)

After the usual morning startup routine I went to the city of Malbork. Malbork features a real nice gem, the Marienburg castle. The castle is from the late part of the 13th century. It has some nice towers, small wooden bridges, court yards and is nicely situated by the Nogat river. If you like castles and palaces don't miss this one, it's beautiful.

When returning to the train station in Malbork I met some nice persons, one Indonesian and two Poles. We were all heading to Warsaw.
The train arrived, and it was really full. Reason: Open'er festival was over and the camping people were now heading home. We had to stand in the carriage in some hours but that was OK. Time flies when you have nice people to chat with.

Smart av dig att ha bokat in ett eget rum efter festivalen. Annars kanske tågresan hade känts extra lång. Jobbigt att stå så länge, fast du hade ju väl träning efter att ha stått under konserten!
